VICO-Vanes are vane droplet separators working with horizontal gas flow. They are made of vanes equipped with a variable number of pockets to favour drainage of the separated liquid. The droplets are removed mainly due to the inertial impaction mechanism.
Materials
The most frequently used materials are stainless steels and some special alloys such as Monel, Inconel, Incoloy, Hastelloy and Carpenter 20. They can also be made of certain pure metals, such as, for example, Titanium.
Supply
VICO-Vanes are usually supplied complete with containment housing for the vanes.
Use
They can be installed in both horizontal and vertical vessels, used in Oil&Gas applications and also when the gas velocity is extremely high and with liquids in which there is a moderate presence of solids or with highly viscous liquids and, in general, in all cases where the use of VICO-Tex is not recommended.
