Today, starting from wires, plates and flat wires, we are able to manufacture a wide range of semi-finished and finished products, using diverse manufacturing processes and technologies.
Plate punching is performed on machines with multi-punch dyes. The plates can be in carbon steel, stainless steel and NiCr alloys and the holes can have different shapes. The punching process is possible if the diameter of the holes is equal to or greater than the thickness of the plate.Next
Drilling allows to obtain perforated plates with perforations that have smaller diameters than the thickness of the plates and is performed on special machines with multi-spindle heads. The plates are generally in stainless steel, often with a higher sulphur content to favour the machining.Next
Wedge wire winding and welding
This process is used specifically in the production of wedge wire cylinders (triangular wire). The production process entails the winding and automatic welding of a continuous triangular wire onto support rods that, inserted in specific equipment, are positioned parallel and equidistant to each other as generators of the same cylinder. The equipment is part of a special machine that, making the support rods rotate and simultaneously move along the axis of the cylinder, allows the wire with triangular cross-section to be welded to the support rods, forming a helix. The pitch of the helix is determined by the rotation speed/support rods progress ratio and, in turn, this determines the size of the opening and, thus, the filtering value. Other metal wire working
Bending, crimping, the production of spirals, the production of crinkled wire mesh with circular looms are the main manufacturing processes used by Costacurta, mainly for the production of parts for conveyor belts and VICO-TEX gas-liquid separation internals. The wires are generally in stainless steel and NiCr alloys.Next
Waterjet cutting is a high precision technology that uses an extremely high-pressure jet of water and sand to cut and perforate any type of material with great precision and good finish. Costacurta uses it to cut filtering elements and plates with a thickness of between 5 mm and 200 mm.Next
Plates and filtering elements are rolled on numerically controlled rollers that allow to obtain shells of different diameters and thickness. Always and however, the finished product, obtained by means of a work cycle in which rolling is an important stage, is characterised by extremely limited roundness and cylindricity tolerances.Next

Brushing, tumbling finishing, sandblasting and satin finishing.
Ultrasonic cleaning, pickling and passivation, electropolishing.

- traceability of raw materials and semi-finished products in the various stages of the production process
- the controls carried and documented during each stage of the work cycle
- the controls carried out and documented on finished products
- Welding procedures carried out by the personnel in accordance with qualified welding procedures..
- Non-destructive controls carried out by qualified personnel.
