Sieving or sifting is a pre-treatment for granular or powder products. It consists of separating the materials based on grain size to obtain products with acceptable purity levels. There are different types of sieving systems: the main ones are drum sieves, disc sieves and vibrating screens.

Cloths for vibrating screens using wire meshes, perforated plates and wedge wire screens

Vibrating screens are used to process ceramic, clay, silicone, gypsum, sands, calcium carbonate, marble granulate, etc.

Frames with internal wire cloths or meshes are usually installed in these machines, even if they can sometimes be made of different sieving components such as perforated plates or wedge wire screens. Costacurta supplies both the filtering elements and the frame complete with structure.

The sieving force is generated by electromagnetic heads mounted directly on the sieving cloth or mesh. The degree of inclination and the number of sieving meshes uses depend on the type of material to be treated and the level of separation required.

Costacurta’s wire mesh is a high-quality mesh that allows openings to be obtained with limited risk of clogging (especially in the treatment of moist products). Moreover, if positioned correctly, it accelerates the processing and therefore increases the production capacity.
