In the case of new plants, when designing a spiral tower, a meticulous assessment of the effects that the choice of the type of belt can have on the layout of the tower in some cases can significantly reduce the volume of the plant, guaranteeing the same production capacity, with a positive impact on the CAPEX and OPEX.
In the case of existing plants, when there is a malfunction caused by changes in the operating conditions, replacing the belt with one with greater maximum allowable tensions, Heavy Duty or Extra Heavy Duty belt, with the same width and turn radius, can solve the problems in some cases without having to adapt the plant or, in any case, making minimum changes to it.
OUR VICO-FLEX PRODUCT RANGE
Costacurta offers a very wide range of VICO-Flex conveyor belts that differ in pitch, thickness and height of the links, in pitch and diameter of the connecting rods and, therefore, in the maximum allowable tensions. Each type of VICO-Flex belt has a minimum turn radius but it can also be supplied with the same links tailored to allow optimal functioning with turn radii that are greater than the minimum.
Moreover, each belt is made in the width and with the spiral wire diameters and pitches requested by the customer.
