Costacurta has chosen the artist Sorte for the redevelopment of the area alongside its Milan headquarters
Costacurta has undertaken the redevelopment of the perimeter wall alongside its Milan headquarters. The company is collaborating with the talented artist Andrea Gasparro, who goes by the name Sorte, on a new artistic project that will transform this wall into a work of art with a huge visual impact, contributing to redevelopment of the district.

BETWEEN AFFORI AND BOVISA
Situated between the districts of Affori and Bovisa, the Costacurta headquarters is located in a continually evolving area of Milan. These two districts, once home to major industries, have been undergoing a profound urban transformation over the past few decades. The presence of Milan Polytechnic in Bovisa has made it a dynamic and innovative area, while Affori, although it maintains the charm of the past, has become home to new redevelopment projects that are creating an increasingly attractive urban backdrop.
THE PROJECT
Through this project, the company intends to enhance the area and strengthen its own ties with the local community, using art as a means of transformation and innovation.
The decision to work with Sorte, who himself has close ties to the neighbourhood, as he studied at Milan Polytechnic and has created numerous works in this district, is a clear signal of this commitment.
This project is part of the broader framework of social and environmental sustainability policies that the company will increasingly focus on in the future. Costacurta aims to use art to promote a more sustainable and inclusive future by sponsoring young talents and their innovative visions.
THE WORK OF ART: NATURA SU STRADA (NATURE ON THE STREET)
A 600-m2 mural on the walls of a former industrial building transforms an urban landscape into a lush forest. The leaves, which take centre stage on Natura su strada (Nature on the street), have been drawn using letters, the signature style of this artist, and are turned upwards, creating an ascending motion that represents not just physical movement, but also growth and maturation. Inspired by Costacurta’s constant pursuit of growth and improvement, the artist decided to draw the leaves turned upwards, symbolising the ambition to achieve new goals. The vibrant green of the leaves, ranging from the lighter to the darker shades, and the sky-blue background are colours that evoke the company’s visual identity, creating an atmosphere that is both fresh and dynamic. The work combines art and nature, offering an example of how art can contribute to the redevelopment of urban areas and enrich the lives of the people who live there.
THE ARTIST

Andrea Gasparro, known as Sorte, is an urban artist from Milan renowned for his ability to transform city walls into vibrant and meaningful artworks. He studied Communication Design at Milan Polytechnic and his style is a unique mix of elaborate calligraphy and pure, rational forms -different threads that the artist explores, inspired by nature and by the contexts in which he finds himself.
His passion for urban art has led him to create numerous murals in Milan, including the celebrated “Bovisa Makers”, which has left an indelible mark on the district. Sorte is deeply attached to the area and uses his art to foster a sense of community. With his murals, he is revitalising the forgotten walls of Milan, transforming them into works of art that everyone can enjoy.
