I run with the committee - Charity relay race
The Lenovo Relay Marathon was held on Sunday, 3 April. We were there, running for the Milan Marathon Charity Program. This fundraising programme allows the athletes to run for a non-profit organisation of their choice. Costacurta’s teams took part as relay runners for the Maria Letizia Verga Committee, a non-profit organization focused on the study and treatment of childhood leukaemia.
It has been an absolute pleasure for us to take part in this event for many reasons: on the one hand, it gave us the chance to spend time with our colleagues after the many months of isolation; on the other hand, it allowed us to come together for a good cause, a cause that has seen Costacurta and the Maria Letizia Verga Committee joining forces for several years now.
20 of our colleagues signed up for the event, forming 5 teams of relay runners who “ran with the Committee” with passion and commitment right to the final kilometre.
